This towel works like a normal towel, but because it is made for sand, the texture and feel is different than typical towels. This smoother texture bothers me when using this towel. Most people probably won’t care either way, but if you are looking for a towel that feels like your others, unless they are also this no sand towel, they will feel different.This is a weird suede material, not like a terry cloth towel material. It is a really cute towel and I use it as a blanket to sit on.This is a super cute towel but is very thin... not what I expected but is bright and pretty. Not very absorbentTo be honest, I bought this because I liked the message . . .I am a swim coach and mother to 5 competitive swimmers so we own a lot of towels to compare this to.This towel arrived in a simple plastic bag. It is made of "shammy" type material so it more pushes the water off than soaks it up. That is convenient for meets as the towel can be reused repeatedly, but it doesn't keep them warm like other towels do. We have found combining this with those other fuzzy towels works well for us.The print on this is quite clear and sharp. The edges are stitched but there were several pulls in the stitching.This has a plastic snap on one edge which allows the user to snap it around the neck like a cape. I find that sort of odd . . .234g/8oz - very light and thin. The stitching appears to be such that the sand may rub and open the threads up after a bit of use. I washed it and it held up fine and it held to its cited size. Has one set of snaps to hold it together, but....I know I will never fold it, like the old paper road maps for us older generations. As it states, thin, you will feel any little sand pebbles.Just arrived today and am very happy with the size and quality! I am especially happy that this is a lightweight microfiber towel and will travel well without taking up a lot of space. The colors are bright on both sides.The one snap is a great idea for securing to shoulders or also can be used to attach to a bag or chair. Good product! I recommend and will order again to have a second colorThis is not "microfiber" like you are probably expecting-the soft fluffy cleaning rags you are thinking of? Thats not what this is. It is a flat towel-almost the same thickness as a sheet. Its weird, really really really weird when you first use it because if you are anything like me you thought fluffy=absorbent but this absorbs better than the floofiest terrycloth. I use this as pool towels in the summer and as hair towels the entire year-HIGHLY RECOMMEND!I absolutely love this towel. Thin and easy to pack yet very water absorbent and fast drying. All around, GREAT value!
